Adam Software and SDL Tridion have signed a strategic alliance agreement to provide marketing and communications professionals with an opportunity to improve the website customer experience.
The partnership brings SDL Tridion’s web content management system (WCMS) and the digital asset management (DAM) platform Adam into a single box for those who need to manage advanced media assets for their global web environment.
Brandowners are confronted by growing complexity in the expression of branding in a multi-channel strategy. The rendering of brand expressions to different channels and the consistency of the expressions between channels and a consistent customer brand experience are today's challenges for marketing and communication professionals.
Web content management and digital asset management play an important roll in a world of growing complexity. Traditionally web content management has focused on layout and content while DAM has focused on the management of multimedia content. Until today WCM and DAM have been based on separate systems with their own specific offering to brand owners. The integration brings a unique offering to organisations with a need for advanced DAM capabilities in a SDL Tridion environment.
Pieter Casneuf, executive partner of Adam Software, said: "Business processes in marketing and media go beyond the technological silos. As leaders in this market segment, it was an obvious move to integrate our software platforms to fulfil the needs of the enterprise market for brandowners looking to improve customer experience on brandowners' websites. That’s why marketing technologies have to integrate to provide overall process solutions."
Jan Jaap Kolleman, CEO of SDL Tridion, said: "More organisations rely on ever-increasing rich media assets for their web strategy. Persuading and engaging website visitors through images, video and sound has become an integral part of web content. With this strong integration, marketing communication and brandowners can exploit the value of rich media over the web and other communication channels."
The proposition includes an SDL Tridion DAM option that covers the needs for advanced online marketing purposes. Traditionally SDL Tridion WCM is a driver for online activities, including capabilities to meet the needs for all basic DAM capabilities. With the increasing number, sizes and formats of media assets, integration with a DAM system is an effective way to improve customer experience.
Thanks to the integration agreement between SDL Tridion and Adam Software, enterprise customers will experience:
- Advanced DAM functionality in their SDL Tridion WCM-system
- The ability to load, save and convert all kinds of formats of media assets
- Workflow processes with a powerful rules engine
- Security management
- Digital rights management
